Redistributing your credit line from one Chase card to another Upgraded to Economy, July 5, 2023 PSA: if you have multiple Chase accounts, you can move around your credit line from one card to another. This allows you to lower utilization percentages for cards that you spend more on, which is good for your credit score. For some reason, my Amazon Prime Card had a $16,000 (?!?!) credit limit, which I have no use for, as I never keep more than $200 on that card at any given time. But my Freedom Unlimited only had $12,800. Given that I regularly have a >$2,000 balance on my CFU, I would much rather transfer some of the credit line to my CFU. This helps keep my utilization percentage on my CFU under 10% as long as I have less than a $2,030 balance on the CFU. That will benefit my credit score significantly. The credit line transfer is possible because both cards are issued by Chase.I just called Chase to make the request. It was pretty easy, you just tell them the source and destination card, as well as how much you want to transfer. I had them transfer $7,500. Now my CFU has a $20,300 credit limitÂ đŸ™‚ Related Posts How to scan your RFID TTP card at land crossingsWatch this video for a demonstration on how to scan your RFID TTP card at… Why you should never cancel a credit cardEver think a credit card has no more use for you?
