How to add a second passport to your Trusted Traveler Program profile Upgraded to Economy, October 16, 2024October 16, 2024 For those of you who have more than one passport that needs to be added to your Trusted Traveler Program profile, ever wondered how to do it? Typically, the website only allows you to have one passport. When your old passport expires, you simply replace the old passport’s info with the new passport. Simple, right? Why might a second passport need to be added to my TTP profile? Some people hold more than one valid passport issued by the U.S. Department of State. Under federal law, the State Department is allowed to issue more than one passport to a person at its discretion. Americans who serve in our armed forces, the foreign service, or who are otherwise on official government business are issued official and/or diplomatic passports. There are also Americans who have certain specific reasons for holding a second passport. I am one of the Americans in the latter category. I suspect (but am not sure about) dual American–Canadian citizens who are in the NEXUS program may also need to have both their U.S. and Canadian passports added to their TTP profile. However, this guide is not for that. How to add your second passport to your profile You’ll need to head to a Global Entry enrollment center with your second passport physically in hand. No appointment is required. In fact, it’s not even possible to schedule an appointment for this kind of request. Once you arrive at the enrollment center, state your business (adding a second passport to your profile), show them your passport, and as soon as a CBP agent is available, they will take your second passport, scan it, and add it to the system. Be sure you have your PASSID number ready to give to them; they’ll need that too. My experience My experience at the Sea-Tac enrollment center was quick, efficient, and painless. Here’s what I did: Brought my second passport with me to the enrollment center. Walked in and told the guard I have a second passport that I need to add to my profile. After showing my passport, the guard understood immediately and let me in. An agent was immediately available. I sat down at his desk and told him I needed to add my second passport to my profile. Without asking for further clarification, he asked me for my PASSID and for my passport. Within a minute and a half, my passport was added to my profile. After I left the enrollment center, I checked my TTP profile, and sure enough, both passports now appeared on my profile: Related Posts How to scan your RFID TTP card at land crossingsWatch this video for a demonstration on how to scan your RFID TTP card at… Redistributing your credit line from one Chase card to anotherPSA: if you have multiple Chase accounts, you can move around your credit line from… Is it possible to be a seasoned traveler on your first trip? You may think that the first time you visit a new country is always going… Checklist for traveling to JapanEven I can forget what I need to do before going to Japan.
